Austin & Steiner Ranch Home Sale Report
My present state observation of the Real Estate Market in the Austin area and Steiner Ranch. Despite national reports it is our observation that the Austin market is on the rebound. Things that point in that direction are from our personal experience. The Stephens Team is experiencing a good year in both the seller market and buyers market. The only year that reflected higher sales so far was 2006 at the height of the market. We have a number of sales in Steiner Ranch, Austin, Round Rock, and Cedar Park and have scheduled closings in December for even more. Charles is reporting great activity in the Allandale market. He also reports brisk sales in the foreclosure market. For the first time in several years I am having increased relocation clients associated with the "high tech" companies. It is encouraging to see companies like the Sun Energy group locating their headquarters here. They report the hiring of 150 employes. Last evening while watching the evening news it was surprising to note that currently Austin is number one spending city in the nation. It was also interesting that men out spend women significantly. I would not dare make a comment about that.
