Austin Energy Home Inspection
Begining today June 1 any home in Austin City Limits using Austin Energy is required by ordinance to have the home inspected prior to sale and buyers informed of results. Failure to comply with this ordinance will cause the seller to be fined $2,000. At present the ordinance only applies to residential property over 10 years old.
